Canada's Bishops Offer Lent Resource With Focus on Holy Land

Way of Cross Unites Faithful With Suffering Catholics From Land of Jesus' Death

The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB), in collaboration with the Commissariat of the Holy Land in Canada, is offering clergy and all the faithful a Way of the Cross which focuses especially on faith.

Prepared for celebrations of the Way of the Cross during Lent and on Good Friday, this pastoral resource includes special prayers for peace in the Holy Land.

Way of the Cross – Way of Faith is a way to be united with the Church in the Holy Land in responding to the challenges of faith and peace, which Christians live so courageously today in the Land of Jesus' birth and death.

The illustrated web version of Way of the Cross – Way of Faith includes photographs from the 2002 World Youth Day Way of the Cross.

The text without the illustrations is also available and both versions can be freely downloaded for use by parishes or other groups.

The website of the Commissariat of the Holy Land in Canada also includes other resources for prayer and meditation.
